Traditional lime repointing for older, solid-wall and soft Belfast brick. The right mortar lets the wall breathe and manage moisture.
Houses, gables, chimneys and bay windows. Failed mortar removed, joints prepared correctly and repointed for a stronger, cleaner finish.
Spalled, blown or cracked bricks replaced with the closest possible match. Pipe holes, cracked corners and moisture damage put right.
Breathable masonry protection, including Stormdry, applied only after pointing has cured protection that still lets the wall breathe.
Corroded or failed wall ties inspected and replaced where brickwork shows cracking or movement. We look at the whole wall, not one crack.
Failed lintels and cracked sills repaired, plus removal of damp or failed cavity wall insulation where moisture is causing problems.
Plenty of jobs are “fixed” by smearing fresh mortar over old, failing pointing. It looks fine for a season, then fails. We do it the slow, correct way — and we’ll tell you honestly what your wall actually needs.
